Glasgow, May 28, 2013 – Weather2, a private Glasgow-based
Weather Company, has won backing from Scottish Enterprise under its Business
Gateway Growth Programme.
Weather2 have been classed as a firm having high growth
potential by the programme. Scottish Enterprise state “the majority of high
growth firms share the characteristics of being knowledge-intensive,
highly innovative and customer focused.”
The Business Gateway Growth Programme offers a network of support
which includes access to expertise, a framework of products, and grant funding
to help businesses expand. Only businesses deemed to have potential for high
growth are accepted onto the programme.
Scottish Enterprise believe that increasing the number of
high growth firms in Scotland by 25% over the next 10 years could generate more

who they helped diversify into producing and marketing crisps - and the craft
beer manufacturer Brew Dog.
