Situated 2km from the Corfu Airport, the town is split into two parts, the new and the old. The new town provides the shops, bars, and amenities that a tourist requires, whilst the old town is immersed in history and culture and is full to the brim of things to see and do.

With resorts such as Analipsi, Kerkyra and Siadari located nearby, you will not be short of things to do even if you do decide to venture a little further afield from Corfu Town.

 

SUMMER IN CORFU

They say good things come in small packages and this saying couldn’t be truer in terms of Mon Repos Beach. This small sandy beach is ideal if you wish to escape from the hustle and bustle of the old town during the summer season. Furthermore, with an average sea temperature of 25 degrees Celsius it may provide some welcome relief from the heat for a few hours.

There are other beaches located nearby which will make any beach worshipper say Hallelujah. Galfada is one of the most popular beaches on the island and is located 16km west of Corfu Town and is easily accessible by bus. Here it’s not only the cooling water which can be enjoyed but also the view. With majestic cliffs which are coated in luscious green trees and rocks which delve into the blue waters it will certainly make for an enviable holiday photo album.

 

AUTUMN IN CORFU

You don’t have to venture far to soak up a little culture in these parts and Corfu Town has it in bucket loads. The Esplanade is a wide opened space which is full of small cafes where you sit and have a good old gossip and watch the world go by. Furthermore with an average rainfall of 118mm it may provide the ideal escape if the heavens decide to open. To the northern end of The Esplanade is The Liston which is an arcaded building built in a Parisian style.
